Why? Read here. In short, life is expensive and getting harder to make ends meet. I am building a community of people helping each other out with a simple thing. A dollar a week. doesn't mean much to me, but a thousand people giving someone a dollar is $1,000 to help them pay off debt or upgrade something in their life.
A $4-$5 monthly "subscription" to giving to someone directly isn't a lot to me and I enjoy being able to give in small, fun ways. I spend much more than that on other frivolous entertainment or dining subscriptions.

The drawing is held every Sunday and winner announced Monday from among members and entries submitted below. The randomly selected winner then lists some ways they can receive donations directly from participants. We ask that all participants contribute at least a dollar to the winner each week directly. More if you're feeling generous.
There is no money pool. We don't take and hold money for this drawing. A winner is chosen at random, but all donations are made directly to the winner from willing participants. Donations are voluntary and not required for entry into the drawing, but if you send a screenshot of your donation to [email protected] you get an automatic extra entry for future drawings. Extra entries stack with each donation verification and carry on with each drawing until you get your lucky win. All entries are wiped when you are a winner. We hope that more participants brings about bigger winnings to help each other.

Must be a U.S. citizen to participate and winners must provide method to receive donations directly (i.e. cash app, paypal, venmo, etc.). Selected winners will be contacted by the email provided at entry and have 48 hours to respond with their methods of payment and a brief message about themselves. A new winner will be selected in the same fashion until a winner responds.
